I love this family so much....maybe cause they are

my own....This is my gorgeous sister and her gorgeous family.

I love that she has me do this each year.

This year we added a member of the family to the pictures.....noooo....not a baby, we added the family pet....Emma....we will meet her a few pictures down!

family/couple/child....

Okay....so we waited and waited for this little guy to come and meet us....well, when he was ready...he was READY!!!

this little guy was born on the front lawn of the birth center. Their sweet midwife wasn't even able to speed up in time.

Good Job catching Daddy!

So obviously since the midwife wasn't able to make it in time...neither did I. So I got what I could!

Just goes to show that babies will do what they want...when they want. They are the boss!

It is such a special event in a families life when they welcome a new little one into their lives and I hope to be able to capture all

the raw emotion that comes with it.

So this pretty lady is a BAD A!!! haha She is so buff! She asked if I would do some shots of her at the gym. She does fitness competitions and RAWKS their socks off!! I have to admit...I was a little nervous....I've never done a shoot like this before and had NO idea what I was doing! To start the day off I had this sweet little 3 month old to play with!

These boys are so cute! I love their cute shirts!

This boy really knew how to dig into his sucker! You can see it all over his face! haha I love messy face pictures....they are so real!

A few updates and specials...

For all of you out there with school age kids...I am offering a special on

"school pictures".

You have to hate the ones the schools

offer as much as I do...

the hidious backdrops...

the uncomfortable, stiffneckedness,

and that you only get one pose and

it isn't even one you get to choose!

Yuck!

So I am offering some more personal works of art

for you to hang on your wall....not only will you get more than

one photo of your child...they are custom and don't have all the

yuckyness of the school pictures.

Okay....for the offer....

I know that it is hard to spend too much on

school pics, so if you want a

mini session (30 minutes) for $60 I will do that

(one child per mini session)

Or if you have more than one child to be photographed then you

can schedule a regular priced session. (up to 5 kids)

The mini sessions will have to be locations

in the Layton/Syracuse area (if you have a location in mind that

isn't too far from there then e-mail me and we will discuss).

The mini session will come with one

10x10 mounted collage and easel.

Perfect for shelves, dressers or desk tops!

I will also be offering wallets for $7 per sheet

so your child can share their pictures

with their friends.

A little of what I've been up to...

I LOVE summer time and am sad that it is coming to a close, but Fall brings a lot of excitedment too. Anyway, here is what I have been doing in the past week or so...I've been having a lot of fun with my camera!

My sweet sister in law had me over for this adorable newborn shoot and told me to bring my camera...I wasn't going to argue! Here are a few of what I caught that day...

This little guy was adorable! Makes me want another! ;o)

My brother in laws family owns some property in Bear Lake and they were kind enough to share with us...we went up with them for a night, it was chilly...but fun nonetheless!

I love having photogenic nieces and nephews! hee hee

My daughter and her favorite cousin.

My husband and son...he LOVES throwing rocks into the water! It could entertain him for hours!

My daughter and niece again.

And my other niece again...she isn't too hard to take pics of! ;o)

And this was a location test and my daughters school pics and just for fun pics of my son....all in one! Super fun location! I have a couple shoots lined up for this location this week!

He put his glasses like that himself! haha

This is his new love..Ducky! He loves this thing...he has to sleep with it and when he wakes up he kisses it and makes me kiss it too! haha

I love what I do...It is so much fun to capture these kinds of things of my family and yours. Thank you for helping me do what I love!

Okay...I have decided to extend the free newborn sessions to July 3rd. I am hoping that this will give me some more practice. Once again... I need the babies to be 14 days old or younger. Not only is this best for regular newborn sessions, but it also helps me for the purpose that I am practicing for. So please spread the word and find some newborns for me. ;o) thanks again!

Okay...making a call for some newborn sessions.

From now til June 6th I will be offering newborn sessions free of charge.

WOW!!

The reason for this is that I have decided to try to be approved for a wonderfuly amazing organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. This is a group of photographers who volunteer their time and service to families who have had to have the devistating loss of a child.

The reason I am offering FREE sessions is that I need more practice and more of a newborn portfolio to send to them for application. So you get the chance to get a FREE session for your newborn baby and also the opportunity to help me help out some families who are in need of a little comfort at the time of their loss. So spread the word!

One catch...I would prefer the babies that I shoot to be younger that 14 day old.

Okay...so it is getting closer to the time that I was hoping to do the party.

So, I am thinking May 23 should be the day.

I will be doing 25 minute-mini sessions throughout the day.

The cost for these sessions is going to be $60.

It will include your session, a 10x10 foam board portrait of your choice, and a disc of up to 15 high resolution photos.

The money that doesn't go to printing the photos will go to

Utah Share (click here to read more).

They are an organization dedicated to helping families who are experienceing the loss of a baby.

The reason for this party and the money being donated is

Okay...I went out this weekend and shot some locations that

we can choose from...I am still open to suggestions.

Okay...location #1-SLC 4th west 7th south

Lots of cute things we could do at that one.

#2- Just west of the Gateway SLC.

This one might now work for everyone, but I really loved the color...mmmmm.....love that color!

#3 Just south of the capitol on State St SLC.

There is alot more to this one...my son was just getting rather restless and my daughter had to potty so it was a super quick shoot at this one.

#4 The "We Can Handle It Train Car" in Ogden Just off 24th

Cute for families or couples.

#5 25th st in Ogden

There is also this really fun floral-y gate there too that would be great.

#6 Last but not least...Studio...(my house) Layton

If you like the studio stuff, it is more important to have props than it is for on location...but that also makes it fun and more personal if you bring your own...like something that you or your spouse's hobby or something like that. So I will put up a poll and they will be listed as #1, #2..... on the poll so take a look at the numbers for sure and vote away...I will leave the poll open for a few weeks and then we will go from there. Okay...for all you winners...For the drawing, it said to book before May of '09. I am just wanting a booking...you can have your session scheduled later than that, I just want you to schedule before May of '09 (which would be April 30th). Sooooo, if you are still wanting to claim your winnings then let's book. lol Your session can be later. I hope this clears some things up. Thanks!!
